Boats again

I really enjoyed last week’s boat shot, so here is another one.

Sunset

I hope everyone had an enjoyable President’s day and that the snow this morning was not too disruptive. (I’m sure that it wasn’t unless you are going through Howard county, where salt, based on the evidence found on the roads this morning, must be very hard to find.)

I found this creek near some power lines on my way home from work last week.  Now that the sun sets a little later to coincide with afternoon rush hour, I’ve been able to get a few shots in here and there.  However, it’s tough to find an unobstructed sunset near my office so I was happy to find this area, which will never be considered photogenic at any time of the day when the sun isn’t setting.

A break from the cold

There’s plenty more Brunswick pictures for a later time.    I’m told that today’s weather will be nice and so I’m hoping that this shot from Beltsville  matches that.

Tank

This tank is situated right in the median of a street in Brunswick. The town has two main festivals each year: Rail days and Memorial day.   Unlike our other posts, this one concerns memorial day.   This street, which is lined with homes on either side features a full selection of war memorials running down it’s lenght.  It’s really quite impressive.

Bricks

These bricks are located outside of the railroad museum in Brunswick, they are dedicated to people who woked on the railroad, clearly.  However, becasue the museum wasn’t open when I was there, I couldn’t tell if you can buy one for friends/family or if they are dedicated to people from Brunswick.  That’s something for a later trip.

Brunswick Canal

Since I’m a little delayed this morning, here’s another shot from Brunswick where the town meets the snow covered C&O canal.
