FIRE
Somebody forgot to call Miss Utility before the started digging yesterday. At least that’s the rumor that I heard.
This fire, regardless of it’s cause, was being fed by a gas line that was exposed and damaged. It caused roads to be closed and power to be taken offline near the site. It happens to be near my office, which is unfortunately equipped with a generator. Which meant that I couldn’t take the day off and that this picture is the only good thing to come of this situation.

Pikesville Military Reservation
These photos, courtesy of MDP correspondent, Bryan, are from the Pikesville Military Reservation, formerly known as and perhaps better known, as the Pikesville Armory. The reservation is home to the Maryland Defense Force, of which Bryan is a proud member.
I generally try to give a bit of the history along with each photo, but in this case I’m keeping it light as we have a great post to come in the next month or so as a follow-up.

Tennis Courts
On Saturday while people were flooding out of the football game in College Park, the sky had taken on a very interesting shade of yellow. It could be the result of the weird weather patterns we’ve had lately. Or it could be because of the massive stadium lights, but either way it made for a neat effect.
