As you might remember about the post (sign post) from Brookeville, MD.  The town was the refuge of President Madison and many others after the British attacked DC.  Today is the anniversary of that day, August 26, 1814.   Yes, the 185th anniversary.  This is a picture of the house of Caleb Bentley, then postmaster of Brookeville, who hosted the president that night.
