Rockville Again

This giant building is 51 Monroe Pl., the tallest building in Rockville and it is clearly present from miles around.  I don’t know much about what else happens in there, but my title company was located in there.

    and what a lovely building it is. you gotta wonder if that architect woke up one morning and said “you know – i think a faceless, stark rectangle with lots of smaller rectangles is just what this neighborhood could use… wait wait and throw in a cell tower and now my life’s work is complete.”

    Well you are forgetting the unusually placed ATM, and inconveniently placed 2nd floor pedestrian walkway.
    Actually I like this picture because of its stark simple shape and becasue of the amber glow of the windows.
    If you’ve ever seen about schmidt, it has a feel in this picture similar to how the woodmen of the world building is portrayed in that movie. Like it houses row after row of bored accountants and actuaries.
