OK - time for me to weigh in on this issue.
I used to think HonFest was a good thing. Then I started thinking about it. I actually had relatives who were of the “hon stereotype” and while I think they would have probably thought hon fest was neat or silly - I don’t like that the people who are celebrating this have no connection to these ladies of yesteryear. I suppose anything that brings in people to the city is a good thing but I think it’s silly. The Polish Festival is the best one all year.
